Born in L.A. in 1986, I earned a BA and MA from Stanford in 2008, where I published several times and won the ‘Lopes Prize for Outstanding Writing’. Printed a short story in EstheticApostle magazine, produced a TV news show about the African diaspora and made documentary films for the UN in Haiti and Morocco.
I'm also an Investment Sales Broker | Director of Real Estate in L.A., managing 60 million in assets.

Personal profiles with La Asociación de Mujeres de Guatemala, profiling female Guatemalan refugees in Madrid, Spain.
Short film “Tagut” with Dar Si-Hmad for culture, education, and development in Ifni, Morocco. Making film for NGO setting up nets to trap fog and bring potable water to a community. Film includes exploring the questions of social impact for the women who spend 4 hours per day collecting water, and the background of the NGO leaders.
Soundlabs Music Festival in Roseto, Italy - produced 8 short clips of visiting artists embedded throughout the beachside town.
Sunshine House in Evia Island, Greece - produced a day-in-the-life short for the unique acroyoga/thai massage school and community.
Haiti NGOs Cordaid and film teaching with NGO-film schools Haiti Reporters and Eyes on Haiti. Teaching Haitians storytelling through multimedia, and creating cinematic shorts for NGOs.

Minority Television Project (KMTP-TV) is a non-profit TV station with a mission of multiculturalism. Single-handedly produced, anchored, filmed, edited, networked, and fundraised for this 30 minute news show focused on African issues both on the continent and locally, that aired from 8:30-9pm every weeknight to 2.9 million viewers across the San Francisco Bay Area
In February 2009, created a YouTube channel with 22 local features on the African community in San Francisco including dancers, NGOs, scholars, and entrepreneurs that was ranked among YouTube’s MOST-WATCHED Non-profit YouTube channels

New America Media is an online newspaper that focuses on minority and immigrant issues. I broke news on stories that are rarely given the spotlight in mainstream media, such as a debate on immigrants’ rights, a Latino poetry crawl in the Mission of San Francisco, the food crisis and how it affected food pantries throughout the city, and the personal story of an Iraqi man who fled from his post as a translator in Iraq to become a pastry chef in Berkeley
